Do you know the little black dress… story ?
The little black dress is a short, light dress with simple lines and a dark colour.
According to Coco Chanel, it was created by Gabrielle Chanel in the 1920s.
Typical of 20th century fashion, this is the right outfit for social evenings where nothing else will do!
In 1926 Coco Chanel’s first black dress appeared in the Vogue magazine, knee-length and with long sleeves. It was dubbed “Chanel’s Ford” by the magazine because of its simplicity.
The little black dress created a scandal both by its length and its colour which at that time only waitresses and domestic servants wore.
The black dress became the symbol of elegance and refinement.

I’m aware of this already, however there were a few beneficial bits which finished the image for me personally, thanks!
