Who is Didier Ludot?
Didier Ludot knew about fashion since his early childhood thanks to his mother and grandmother who always dressed beautifully. In his large provincial house, a room was entirely dedicated to wedding dresses, suits and other valuable pieces.
Didier Ludot would spend hours making models and he loved going to the dressmaker’s with his mother.
Passionate about beautiful clothes, and a true historian of women’s fashion, Didier has an extraordinary, personal collection. He owns about 1,200 pieces on display in his boutiques and another 5,000 in his private collection.
Didier Ludot and little black dresses
In 1966, he was 30 years old and lived by the Palais Royal in Paris. He organized an exhibition on the little black dress, which was a success!
1999: Launch of the collection « Didier Ludot Palais Royal à Paris », dedicated entirely to the little black dress. Today, this line is sold in New York, Milan and Tokyo.
